it took a sad dream to realize that i got too close to you.
“just friends” is more of an understatement when speaking of you and i.

in this dream, you told me you were leaving.
& i never felt such great pain.
i never realized how much you truly meant to me until the note you left me;
the drawing of such detailed pain.
telling me, ‘someday this will be us’…

waking up feeling as if i were crying.
knowing that if i were to ever depart or if you were to ever leave, i’d be hurt.

so, why would i want my dreams to come true??
